7/29 Blood, Sweat, & Beers: American River Canyon.10.5 mi, 5.9 mi. trail run. Expect rocks, dirt, hills, and wildlife. 6/2 Spence Mountain Run: Shoalwater Bay Trailhead, near Klamath Falls. 30K, 50K trail courses. Run mostly technical singletrack trails. Expect tree roots, rocks, drops, etc. Both events will climb to the summit of Spence Mountain twice. 7/14 Trail n' Treat: Charleston. The start is at South Slough Nat'l Estuarine Research Reserve. The course is technical trails, boardwalks, hills (300’ change in elevation) where the river meets the sea, along vast tidal flats, extensive marshes and meandering channels. Proceeds go to the Friends of South Slough Reserve, Inc., (FOSS) a non-profit organization in support of Reserve education fund for internship stipends. southcoastrunningclub.org
